PennDOT Driver and Vehicle Services
Bulletin – Wednesday, February 11, 2009
Producers who write Commercial Automobile business or work with truckers may find the PennDOT Driver and Vehicle services web site to be very useful. The link to the website’s home page is
http://www.dot3.state.pa.us/.
This website provides valuable information and services. Some items of interest to you or your client may include information about the latest state and federal laws, requirements for CDL operators, and information on how to get a driver’s license or vehicle registration back if it has been suspended.
You can learn more about recently passed legislation pertaining to driver and vehicle services in Pennsylvania or connect to the Pennsylvania General Assembly website. You can also read about Pennsylvania’s DUI law and download the Pennsylvania vehicle code.
Something else that is useful to pass on to clients is the on-line vehicle and driver services: changing the address of a vehicle registration, renewing a vehicle registration, changing an address on a driver license, and renewing a driver’s license. A person can also request their 3-year driving record (or 10-year driving record for commercial drivers) for a small fee.
This is just a brief overview of this handy website. We encourage you to check it out.
