At the 23rd annual NAIW Pennsylvania State Council Meeting held in Pittsburgh a Tuscano employee was honored. Through an affiliation with the AAMGA, they have created the Achievement Award to allow NAIW (International) to recognize a member, committee or local association that has made contributions to the NAIW organiztion on a professional level. Matt Barbera, a member of the Tuscano Casualty and Professional underwriting team, and son of Accounting Manager Irene Barbera, was selected as the recipient of the award at this year's meeting.
"The individual selected for this year’s award gives us renewed hope in the younger generation being able to take the torch from our more seasoned members and carry it forward.
This person has been in NAIW for only a few years and came to us through another family member. With only a short time of membership in NAIW under the belt, this individual has made the local association proud by participating in the speak-off and currently acting as the leader of the local association.
A big believer in NAIW, this person touts the benefits of belonging to friends, co-workers – and those of us who are already members, lest we forget.
Our recipient provides words of encouragement to everyone who crosses their path – whether it is a first timer unsure of which way to go, or a seasoned member stressing about getting a project completed or done right.
Any time you meet this individual, you are met with the words “What can I do to help?” or “What can I do for you?”
So we would like to say “Thank you” for sharing your passion for NAIW with us.....”Thank you” for giving us hope for tomorrow.........Matt Barbera, Laurel Highlands Insurance Professionals!"
From all of us at Tuscano - Congratulations Matt!
