Engagement means different things to different people. If you are Emily Casino, it means you and Andy have made a promise that will result in a wedding next year. If you were Terrelle Pryor back in the spring of 2008, it means you will be going to Ohio State University to play football. And if you are the owner of a Toyota Prius (which Jinny is) you know that engagement happens after you start the car and commit to rolling it out of the parking lot.
 
When it comes to our work, I believe being engaged has everything to do with our satisfaction quotient. I recently came across an unfortunate statistic which said that only 29% of the workforce is fully engaged in their job. If that’s true, then way too many people are just going through the motions. That is a sad way to live, and I hope that none of you feel that way. But if you wonder sometimes just what are you doing in this business, consider this - there are millions of people who are able to fulfill their dreams and do their life’s work because of the service and products you provide.
 
 All of us are in the business to provide insurance solutions. Some of these solutions seem easy like 1 + 1 = 2. Others are like calculus or advanced trig. That’s why you rely on Tuscano to find the right insurance product and coverage for your client – cause you may not have taken calculus in school, but that don’t mean you is dumb.
 
One of the reasons the folks here at Tuscano are engaged is because in the process of helping people, we enjoy building relationships. We like knowing that we have gone beyond a simple financial transaction and reached engagement with our customers. I have a sticky note on my computer monitor (and NO it is not my system password) that states “When you need a relationship, it is already too late to build one.” That means every time I pick up the phone, I am committing to the person on the other end of the line that I will have, hold, and play my best game all the way out of the parking lot.
