Coming-of-age Milestone

We passed a coming-of-age milestone in the Tuscano family this week. Our son Sam finally got a cell phone, and was quick to point out that he was the last in his class to have one. Which got me thinking, is it the act of getting older that makes us feel like certain things are a necessity? As I have gotten older, I rely on a good many things that I used to live (quite happily) without - bottled water, a DVR, and email on my phone. I realize that these items are pretty common household amenities in our culture. The question is, would we ever sacrifice them so we could put our kids through college? With the state budget cuts we are facing - I may just have to!

Do you ever ask your clients to consider taking on additional expenses in order to be properly insured? Has their business grown or their operations expanded as the years have gone by?
