I love date night, but when my wife suggested a movie about golf, I thought I had died and gone to heaven – instead she wanted to take me to see Seven Days in Utopia. It doesn’t seem fair – the posters had golf clubs on them, but the movie had cowboys and a love story.
Personally, I tend to avoid utopia – it just seems so unattainable. It is so difficult to always be content, always hopeful, always happy, always satisfied, always understood, always energized, always knowing you gave your best and it was well received. Well, being in the insurance business I probably don’t have to worry about a utopian state. However, I do have to worry about making my wife happy, so I will most likely spend at least one evening in Utopia.
Speaking of a better world, it seems to me that I have neglected to mention our awesome website as well as some of the great new online tools we have rolled out lately. I was talking to a producer recently and we both agreed, it is hard to get more business just because you have a fantastic website. I think even the online giants like Amazon or Zappos would agree. But I guarantee you it is possible to get less business if you have a crappy website. Tuscano Agency was recently recognized by two of the associations we belong to for the quality of our website and online tools. Kudos to our web team – David, Martin, and Thai!
This past summer we went live with our newest online rater. The Personal Umbrella Web Rater is a great tool; it will give you a bindable quote with two of our umbrella markets. The quotes are for multiple limits, and each contains the carrier’s terms and conditions and a partially completed app. It could not be easier or more efficient to review coverage and pricing with your clients. Imagine that – a better tool that does allow you to write more business! If you need help getting started (though it is so easy even a caveman could do it) we have a short training video at www.tuscano.com. Don’t forget to reach out to the Personal Lines Team at Tuscano for any and all of your specialty personal lines insurance needs.
We are also planning to roll out a fantastic new tool that will assist you in completing your PA surplus lines affidavit quickly and correctly. Look for an announcement in the next few weeks when the program will be going live. A quick click on the policy link will make short work of both completing the form and submitting it electronically. Imagine - no more returned affidavits for missing or incorrect information – now won’t that be Utopian?
Have a fantastic day!
