Here we are again – another Christmas just around the corner. How does it sneak up on me every year? Time moves so quickly even when I drag my feet! Santa, I honestly don’t know how you do it – manage all those little guys and gals in the workshop, read the letters from all of the people like me (who do believe), and pack up the sleigh (do you have to follow TSA rules?). Maybe you could offer a course in time management and organizational development. In fact, we are looking for a speaker for our annual State of the Agency meeting, would you be interested in this gig?
As I have watched my father care for mom, hold her hand, encourage her, and yes, hold vigil during the darkest times, I have already received the second most precious gift a man could have. To witness true, selfless, and unchangeable love, is an experience that will change me forever. So thanks Santa – for more time with my mom, parents who are life-long role models, and love.
Some things just won’t fit in my stocking, but that doesn’t mean I need a bigger one! Since you have been so generous throughout the year I don’t want to ask for anything more. In case you think I forgot, thank you for the Top Places to Work recognition from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. That was really cool and I know that everyone here at the office was proud of the accomplishment. Thanks too for the nice awards from the AAMGA and NAPSLO for our calendar and website. It sure is nice to be recognized for an effort – as I am sure you agree.
I suppose I will never stop asking for a hard market or exclusive insurance programs. I have learned over the years though that when we take care of those around us, then the bigger opportunities either come, or if they don’t, it doesn’t matter. Because I have everything I need – I only ask that the people who read this letter can have something special they need this holiday season.
