For several years now I have been fortunate enough to be invited to a company meeting in Colorado. (You know the song “Once in a Lifetime” by Talking Heads? – well that is the one that I can’t get out of my head when I show up at these functions!). These meetings are great for catching up with my peers and learning about market conditions in other areas of the country and how they manage their shops. Even before I rubbed shoulders with such an elite group, I would enjoy any chance I got to catch up with other local wholesalers and compare notes (gossip)! Is there any other profession that has this much camaraderie amongst friendly competitors?
I was pretty surprised when one of my friends from Texas complimented me on the quality of the Tuscano website. Maybe he remembered that we have been recognized by both the AAMGA and NAPSLO for our website, or maybe he was just creeping around…! He remarked that not only do we provide good content for our customers but that the layout was very logical and easy to use. The truth is that while we were in the process of developing our site we did a lot of creeping around our peers’ websites, too. Bill Tuscano always said copying someone’s idea is the highest form of compliment.
You can read back issues of this newsletter for instance or answer the question “Does Tuscano write _____?” on our product pages; we even tell you what it takes to get a quote. We have lots of information about our carriers and our staff. And, there are great tools (in the Tool Box of course!) for getting quotes, submitting business online, and even pulling production reports or paying your statement.
One of the best features (in my opinion) is the ability to pull up your policies and do everything from issue a certificate to send us a policy change or inquiry. You can even check the status of financing or the policy balance due. Oh yeah, and don’t forget about the ability to pull copies of all policy documents and invoices.
Now that I have sung the praises of our website, I am hoping you will be inspired to visit it – especially if it has been awhile. If you doubt me when I say anyone can use our website, remember they conducted the user testing with me as the guinea pig – if Rob can do this, then anyone can. And if you are still unsure, we have tutorials online that will walk you through many of the tools we provide.
You may ask yourself, how did we manage to build such a great website and tools for our customers? It is because we have a very talented team of developers and people who are invested in making our website the best out there. I think we have the best team in the business; it is a never-ending job and there are always new features and tools in the works.
You may ask yourself, well how do I get there? www.tuscano.com!
